Based on the Schools For The Future prototype, this project was the first of the secondary school exemplars to be built in the UK.
The various challenges faced in realising the exemplar design proved a tribute to the robustness of the initial design concept, which has been improved as a consequence. Most noticeably, the ETFE canopy over the central Agora provides a striking feature, offering a spacious and light-filled breakout space for socialising, play, and sheltered passage between the various buildings.
