With Architecture PLB

Located on a former landfill site, the project is one part of a wider landscape plan to regenerate a currently contaminated and deprived area in Wolverhampton. The project offers a number of sustainable solutions and opportunities that make a positive and long-lasting change to the quality of life for local residents.

Providing a hall and youth club for the local community, the copper mesh clad building is burrowed into the landscape. This allows the landscape to run over the top of the building, providing a green roof to reduce storm water run-off, reduce heat loss, improve the building's insulation and thermal mass, and provide a dynamic play area without reducing the area of external amenity space previously offered by the Park.
